Guided Meditation
Guided meditation is a state of pleasant awareness that is needed and guided by an instructor, lasting from a few minutes to hours. The goal is to achieve mental, emotional and physical healing and stress reduction. When beginning a meditation practice, the primary question to ask is whether it is guided or not. Guidance will vary from person to person, but before deciding what is best for you, it is better to know what each item includes.
Guided meditation is defined as a form of head-on meditation by the instructor through auditory or videotape. In the beginning, a meditation instructor recommends guiding you through the primary steps of your meditation practice. Whatever skill we learned in life; it is important to get the help of a well-versed instructor. When exploring the intricacies and subtleties of the mind, it is imperative and crucial.
At first, we must understand what one is trying to achieve through meditation before commencing the journey of relaxation. During a traditional meditation session, trainers are taught to first look at the content of the mind (Mental content is what is considered to be "present" in the mind and is capable of being formed and manipulated by mental processes and abilities, and examples are thoughts, ideas, memories, emotions, perceptions, and intentions), a way to approach different exercises, and a way to stimulate them most efficiently from their exercise. Next, teach them the way to practice meditation which leads to the state of serenity and clarity developed during meditation.
In guided meditation, an instructor explains the activities of the mind and how it acts during meditation. The instructor also explains the meditation techniques. Finally, he teaches and explains how to apply these techniques in our day-to-day life.
Guided meditation, also known as silent meditation, allows the trainer to modify the way he wants to meditate, including the length, space, and amount of silence. During guided meditation, you always meditate without external tools. Find a quiet place with minimal hassle, usually looking for a comfortable place to sit in a chair or on the floor. Choose a phrase that makes your body feel good, take a deep breath through your nose and inhale through your mouth.
In guided meditation practice, the trainer also meditates alone without explaining the method of meditation. An accompanying meditation chooses several techniques learned in guided meditation. For this reason, starting a guided meditation can be helpful if you have no background in training. Some people are silent for a long time, paying close attention to their bodies and mind. The choice of guided and non-guided meditation is based entirely on personal preferences. Some people have liked guidance for a long time, while others may not need guidance.
